Blame Set On You

For this week I wanted to talk about something that's happening in our country currently. This article is about Ariana Grande and Mac Miller.

Now to start this article off, Ariana is not responsible for Mac’s death. Never has been and never will be. Unless she physically murdered him and/or put the drugs in him herself. It is not her fault that Mac decided not to get sober.

Ariana was in a very complicated relationship with him. We don't know what happened between them behind closed doors. He was an addict. Yes, it's sad that he died, because he was very talented. But, again, it's not Ari’s fault.

Mac made his own decisions and he just couldn't get sober. Celebrity relationships are very hard because we don't know what is actually happening behind closed doors. Mac could've been abusing her while he was on drugs. Emotionally or physically. Addiction is a very hard thing to overcome. But it's not just hard on the overcomer.

It's hard on the people who are supporting them. It's hard for them because they are the ones who are constantly reminding the overcomer why they need to overcome. It's hard because they are the ones who have to clean up the puke and the other messes that come with overcoming addiction.

With any other person, this would've been swept away and people would've sent prayers and thoughts to the ex. But because Ari is a celebrity and Mac is a celebrity, Ariana is getting all the hate and backlash. It's not fair to her and it's not fair to Mac.

Mac Miller wouldn't have wanted Ariana to receive all this hate. He would've wanted his legacy to go on, but its hard for that to happen when all of his ”fans” are spending all that time sending hate to someone who lost someone important to them than spending that time building a legacy.

So let me end this article with a clarification. If you are in any relationship where your partner is abusing you emotionally, physically, verbally, or abusing you through their drug/alcohol addiction. Then please know that it is not okay.
