I remember as a little girl I would get picked on by boys and my family and teachers would tell me it’s because he likes me. They protected those boys and let them continue to pick on me. Which wasn’t fair to the 8-year-old girl with ginger hair.
See, this little girl loves to be friends with everyone. She loved playing on the playground while pretending to be top-secret spies. Although when she did she would also get picked on by the two boys who always played together. But most days she didn’t pay any attention to them.
But one day it went too far… One day those boys pushed her and she didn’t accept that. So she goes up to her teacher and says “Ajay pushed me!” to which her teacher responds lazily “Ajay no pushing". Feeling confident and proud that she spoke up for herself the little girl went back to playing. Until the next day when those same boys called her a very unkind name. She felt hurt, but kept playing along with the game.
Later that night when she went home she told her parents what that boy said to her. Her parents laughed and said “Well dear, it's only because they like you". So that little girl let that lie spiral in her head. She let it spiral until she was 15 when a boy held her in his arms and then dropped her with the most hurtful words she had ever heard.
She believed this lie when the boy on the bus in 4th grade told the principal that she hit his little sister on the bus. Which wasn’t true. She was the only person who was nice to that little girl.
She believed this lie when the boy in 6th grade pretended to date you while bad mouthing you behind your back and screaming at you to your face.
She believed this lie every single time a boy treated her wrong… He just likes you…
But this girl has now grown up, she’s put up a wall against men because she can’t trust them. She refuses to believe the lie anymore. She refuses to be pushed around by a guy any longer… Because he doesn’t like you… If he did then he wouldn’t and shouldn’t treat you like crap. He also shouldn’t get an excuse for treating you like crap…
He’s just a bad person...
